BEER OF THE WEEK!!

Last weekend I got a chance to go to an event called the Brookly Pour and it was amazing. I got a chance to taste a few beers that i never got a chance to so I tried this San Francisco beer called Anchor Steam and i have to say that it's dope. It had a really refreshing taste and it wasn't too dark tasting. I love the fact that it didn't leave that bad taste in your mouth. Anyways this was a great tasting beer that I wouldn't mind having more of in NYC.

Yesh Sean Price... WHAT??? He's killin the song. I love him and Termanology WHHHHAAATTT??? haha... i love the song and Statik's beat is fucken dope. I went to his listening party and got a chance to listen to all the songs on his album and they're all awesome but I think this song is one of the best. Glad that he decided to make a video for this.

The Roots – “Make My” (Feat. Big K.R.I.T.)

 

Now I'm not a huge fan of Big K.R.I.T. but i am a big fan of  The Roots. I do have to say that this song has a very different feel to it and I really like it. I'm into music that has feeling and this song has that in it. Maybe it's the goth in me, but i really enjoyed this song. The band is just amazing. But every time The Roots do anything they pretty much kill it.

I have a soft spot for Drake. I know people call him the EMO MC but I LOVE IT. This album seems pretty amazing. I've been listening to tracks that they have been releasing and I'm really feeling them. I always LOVED RJD2 and Aaron Livingston's voice is AMAZING!! This song you can just hear it.

This video is pretty dope... It uses some of the Red Hot Chili Peppers graphics and it works. I love that A-Plus decided to do a  tribute to the band because they're pretty amazing. Love it!!

Beer of the Week!!

 

Last night i got a chance to taste this amazing beer. My girl bought it and had me try it. It's a darker  beer and it's got this wooden taste to it. If that makes any sense at all. But this has a lot of flavor.. The only thing I don't like is the aftertaste. But that could be because i was also drinking a Stella which is a lighter beer and not as much flavor. DJ Q-Bert Honored By Justin BUA With "Legends of Hip-Hop" Portrait

 

I learned a lot about Bua when I was working at Fat Beats. I tried  really hard for us to carry his book because his art work was dope. He incorporated his life into the book through art and it was an amazing story. So when I heard that He was honoring DJ  Q-Bert  I definitely wanted to find out more about it. I met DJ Q-Bert while I was on vacation in Hawaii... He was DJing at a bar/club that I was at and came outside and started having a convo with my sis (who had no idea who he was). But he was mad nice and he's crazy talented. So I'm  glad that Bua decided to create this and add him to his "Legends of Hip-Hop". To read more Click Here

Dill Pickle Mints

 

I love pickles!! i think they taste DELICIOUS. i can prob eat a whole jar of it. So when my friend at work told me about her Dill Pickle Mints i had to try them. I must say that these really don't make your breath smell good but they do taste like pickles. They are really fucken weird. I can't  say whether i liked them or not but they were definitely interesting. Minty Pickles... 5 Pointz Long Island City

so I got a chance to check out 5 Pointz in Queens and it was an awesome experience. I've heard about this place and I've seen crazy pictures but when i was actually there it was mind blowing. The talent that these artist have are ridiculous and sad because people don't think that this is art. All the art that you get to see in the area are hands down beautiful. I also got a chance to speak with one of the guys that volunteer there  and he schooled me and my friends. It was a chance to understand all the art that was on the walls and all the different challenges that they face. This is REAL graffiti not some of the shit that you see around manhattan.
